Where are you located?
We're located at 750 - 5th Avenue in Pilot Butte, SK. We’re beside Gang-Nail Trusses and across from Water Treatment Plant. Entrance and exit are on the south side of the facility off 9th Street/Lafarge Street.

What times are you open for access?
Around the clock! Tenants can access their unit 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

What's required to rent a unit?
You must be 18 years of age, and have a credit card, a phone number, an email address (to receive the lease agreement and other important documents), as well as an alternate contact. To rent at the self-service kiosk, you will need to have in hand a credit card and a photo driver’s license.

Do you accept reservations?
No. Payment must be received to rent and secure a unit.

What methods of payment do you accept?
We accept credit card only—MasterCard, Visa, AMEX, and Discover.

Can I select a specific unit when renting online or at the self-service kiosk?
When renting online through the website, the system randomly selects a unit from the unit type identified. However, when renting at the kiosk, you can view a map on the wall beside the kiosk showing all unit numbers and locations, and can select a specific unit from the units available.

Do you close for any holidays?
No, our compound is open for access 365 days a year.

Do you have heated units?
Yes. Many of our 10' x 20' units, and all of our 12' x 26' units have in-floor heat. Check out the Rent A Unit page for availability and rates.

Do you have drive-up access?
Yes, our facility is fully paved and features drive-up access to each storage unit.

What's the process for moving out?
We require 28 days written notice in the form of a completed and signed Intent to Vacate Notice, which must be sent to us by email or Canada Post mail. (See top of page for email address and mailing address.)

What can I do to deter rodents and pests in my unit?
It can be difficult to keep rodents and pests out of a facility like ours that borders a field and is located on the edge of a small, prairie town. We practice pest prevention around and throughout the facility, but it’s up to all tenants to help keep rodents and pests away.
  • Store items in sealed, plastic containers. Cardboard boxes are not recommended, especially from grocery stores, since any food smell or residue will attract critters. And cardboard can absorb moisture, which attracts certain pests.
  • Store items off the ground using shelves, pallets, or even a table.
  • Wrap upholstered furniture in heavy plastic, and seal as best as possible.
  • Do not leave any food, wrappers, or garbage in the unit or anywhere on the property.

How old is your facility?
We opened in Fall 2023.

Do you have a self-service kiosk?
Yes, our 24-hour self-service kiosk is located at the entrance on the south side of the facility off 9th Street/Lafarge Street.

Can I rent by the week?
No. All rentals are by the month.

Is vehicle parking available?
Our larger units can accommodate your classic car, boat, or other rides. We do not offer outdoor parking.

Can I bring in my own hoist to store my vehicles on top of one another?
Unfortunately, no.

What flooring do your units have?
All of our units have concrete floors.

What security features do you have?
We have perimeter fencing with barbed wire, surveillance cameras throughout the facility, and gated access. We also monitor gate access.

Do you offer insurance?
No. Customers are responsible for obtaining and maintaining a policy of insurance for their belongings stored at KJ Storage.

Do you sell locks?
Yes. Disc locks can be purchased at the self-service kiosk, either during the rental process or as a stand-alone transaction.

Can I use my own lock?
Yes. Or you can purchase a disc lock from our self-service kiosk located at the entrance to the facility.

Can I pay for more than one month at a time?
Yes. Payments are monthly, but any extra payments will be applied as credit to the account and the monthly rent deducted from any credit balance. We also offer auto-pay so the credit card on file will automatically be used to process payment on the monthly anniversary date.

Do you send a reminder each month before payment is due?
Yes. Tenants receive an invoice by email 5 days before their monthly due date. To avoid missing a payment and gate lockout, we recommend setting up auto-pay during the rental process or through an online account at any time.

How do I set up an online account?
Tenants can set up an online account through the website. Go to the Pay Online page, click the PAY HERE button, then click on "Sign up" and follow the instructions.
